The Display Mode Utility was originally designed
to overcome the situation where a game or educational software package refuses
to operate because it thinks your 32 Bit graphics with adapter with 128MB
plus of video memory is incapable of displaying 256 colours!
The
Display Mode Utility (SetMode.exe) enables you to adjust the display settings
for Width, Height and Depth (Bits Per Pixel) via a command line switches;
meaning it can be used to create a display change shortcut or as part of
a batch file.
You can also instruct SetMode to adjust the display settings
for the current session only and return the display to its original settings
when a user logs out or shuts down. |
